AUTHORITY BY LIGHT

Text Isa.60.1 – Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

Last week we looked into The believers Authority.

And we said for our authority to be obeyed, we must first ensure that Jesus is not only your Savior but also your Lord .

And we also said that the latest believer has authority over the oldest devil. Because at new birth , the Believer became Christ.

1John.4.17 – Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Today we are looking at Authority by Light.

You must understand that the more knowledgeable you are over a particular matter , the more authority you command over that matter. 

So also , if you don’t know who you are through the light of the scriptures, the devil will still want to Lord it over you.

Ps.82.5 – They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

Ps.82.6 – I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

Ps.82.7 – But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

That is why the more lighted you are , the more authority you command. 

Light makes you rude to the devil. Your rudeness to the devil and his agent is at the Mercy of your access to light.

You can’t contact light and not appear rude to those in darkness. It is not possible.

The more light you encounter in the word, the more rude you become to the kingdom of darkness .

Prayer can deliver you, but only light will make you stay delivered.

Luke.11.14 – And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.

Luke.11.15 – But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

Luke.11.16 – And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.

Luke.11.18 – If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.

Luke.11.19 – And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.

Luke.11.20 – But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

Luke.11.21 – When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

Luke.11.22 – But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

Luke.11.23 – He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

Luke.11.24 – When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

Luke.11.25 – And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.

Luke.11.26 – Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

So after the prayer of deliverance the person must occupy that area of concern with the Light of the Scriptures, so when the demon wants to return back, it will not only find it clean but also find it occupied with Light who is Jesus John 9:5

And it’s a well known fact that darkness cannot chase light out. 

Prov.11.9 – An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

John.8.32 – And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Light is a wall of defence.

When you are lightless you are hopeless.

What is light in from this perspective ?

Light is illumination or revelation from  the written word that birth a celebration in your physical world.

Light is the revelation of Jesus. 

Isa.9.6 – For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isa.9.7 – Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

It’s the encounter you come across while studying the Bible. 

Because the Bible is a book of light.

John.9.5 – As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

John.1.1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Light will ever be a mystery to darkness 

And light is always your advantage over the devil.

John.1.5 And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it]. [AMP]

The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn’t put it out. [MSB]

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. [KJV]

The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. [NIV]

The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. [NLT]

And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. [NKJV]

The Passion Translation John 1:5 And this Living Expression is the Light that bursts through gloom— the Light that darkness could not diminish!

Young’s Literal Translation John 1:5 and the light in the darkness did shine, and the darkness did not perceive (sense it, feel it, see it, observe) it.

How to  access this Light

1. Denounce darkness 

You can’t be living in sin (darkness) and expect light .

It’s like living in an area where there is no wire traceable to a transformer, also no transformer and you don’t have generator neither do you have a solar system and yet you are expecting light.

Denouncing darkness also mean that you must accept Jesus Christ has your Lord and Savior.

1Pet.2.9 – But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

2. Meekness 

Meekness is a teachable Spirit. 

Illustration: I have you ever thought a young child is homework and He is telling you how it’s done. That can be soo frustrating.

Acknowledging that there is a lot to know, no matter how much you already know.

1Cor.8.1 – Now concerning things offered to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.

Acknowledging that The Holy Spirit is the giver of light. That is also meekness.

People , for been who they are will always point at you, but you must be wise and quick to point them back to Jesus. That is meekness.

A thanksgiver is meek person.

3. Ask the Author.

The Bible was authored by the Holy Spirit and written by man.

2Tim.3.16 – All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2Pet.1.20 – Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

2Pet.1.21 – For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

4. Meditation by the Spirit.

Josh.1.8 – This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Meditation is soaking yourself in the Word until it  begins to reflect in your world.

Why is this so important, because it helps you launch into the deep..

Ps.92.5 – O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

There is always a catch of revelation in the deep.

Luke.5.3 – And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

Luke.5.4 – Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

Luke.5.5 – And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

Luke.5.6 – And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

Luke.5.7 – And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

The treasures of heaven lies in the deep, the belly of mysteries and according to scriptures only the deep can call the deep.

Ps.42.7 – Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

Wonderful creatures of the sea are found in the deep .

Ps.107.23 – They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;

Ps.107.24 – These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.

And the word of God is liken unto water , so also God’s wonderful treasures are found in the deep of God’s word which we access by Meditation by the Spirit.

Eph.5.26 – That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

Isa.12.3 – Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

In the deep of the ocean, lies another realm , so also in the deep of God’s word gives us the privilege to live in another realm right here on earth and that realm is the realm of dominion and Authority.

1Cor.2.10 – But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

1Cor.2.11 – For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
