Opening Scripture
Text: Revelation 4:1–11
KJV: “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (v.11)
MSG: “Worthy, O Master! Yes, our God! Take the glory! the honor! the power! You created it all; it was created because you wanted it.” (v.11)
Introduction
Every child of God is not called to merely survive, but to reign in life.
We are destined to be above and not beneath (Deut. 28:13).
The pathway to reigning is not through shortcuts, compromise, or human wisdom—it is by holiness.
What is Holiness?
Holiness means “set apart” — from the Hebrew word Kadosh: clean, sacred, consecrated.
Holiness is living by the sufficiency of God’s grace (2 Cor. 12:9).
We don’t reign by righteousness alone, but by righteousness and holiness together (Rom. 5:17).
How Holiness Affects Our Reigning in Life
1. Holiness Is Our Nature in Christ (Gal. 5:16)
2. Holiness Gives Us Access to Divine Authority (Luke 10:19)
3. Holiness Positions Us for Divine Favour (Gen. 39:21)
4. Holiness Places Us under Divine Protection (Job 1:8–9)
5. Holiness Unlocks the Blessings of the Kingdom (Isa. 59:1–2; Ps. 1:1–3)
How to Reign by Holiness
Daily obedience and consecration (Deut. 28:1–2)
Work out your salvation with fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12)
Allow the Spirit to produce His fruit in you (Gal. 5:22–23)
Conclusion
Holiness is not perfection, but walking in oneness with the Perfect One.
Holiness is not about rules, but about relationship with God.
Holiness is not old-fashioned—it is the believer’s uniqueness in Christ (1 Pet. 1:15–16).
